Ok.....Just trying to generate discussion with this one. It's been kind of slow on this forum for the last couple of days. Has everyone gone back to WRAL???
Anyways........I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and have been since I was old enough to know what football was. Now I know we are in Panthers country, and I am born and raised in NC. When I was growing up though, NC didn't have a football team. My dad taught be at a very young age to pull for America's Team. One thing I know about the Cowboys is either you love them or you hate them. I still like to see the Panthers do well though, you could say they are my second team......What about you guys???

I grew up a 49ers fan (Joe Montana / Steve Young / Jerry Rice). Since the Pampers errr...Panthers have been here, I've been a huge fan of them but continue to follow the niners. It's tough though since they are in the same division.
I absolutely HATE the Cowgirls!!! I've always despised them and their owner (Jerry Jones). I just want to punch him square in the face every time I hear him or see him speak! No, not really, but I seriously dislike them.

Well Tizu, like I said, either you love them or you hate them. One thing though. The Panthers (NFC South) and the 49ers (NFC West) aren't in the same division.

There are two teams I've never been a fan of - Green Bay and Dallas. Growing up in the New York area, there were no college teams to root for. Only the Giants. Fortunately for me, they were very good at the time. First, hapless Green Bay hired our offensive coordinator, a guy named Lombardi, as their head coach, and the brand new franchise in Dallas took our defensive coordinator Tom Landry. It wasn't long before our key draft picks turned out like Knicks' picks (which is to say, total busts) and the Giants hit the skids.
That's just something you don't forgive or forget.

Well kdub, we may disagree on college teams, but I'm right there with you with the Redskins. I've pulled for them all my life. There's even a picture of me in a high chair with a Redskins bib around my neck! When I was growing up, my room was wall-to-wall Redskins. My favorite player was Art Monk. Hated the Cowgirls since birth. Some of my fondest memories are watching the the Redskins at my grandparents' house after dinner on Sunday afternoons.
Geez, I'm a Wolfpack and Redskins fan.........I'm a glutton for punishment, haha!

I had an Art Monk poster on my bedroom wall. hahaha It's a shame how long it took for him to get into the HoF. Me too! I had a "The Posse" poster with Monk, Clark, and Sanders. He should have been in the Hall a looooong time before he got in. One of the best receivers of all time.
