Well, looks like Tyler Harris is transfering. That makes 3 players since the end of the season. I'm glad Gott has an awesome class coming in to fill some spots!

Good luck to him! I think he saw the writing on the wall with the incoming class...

In a non-negative way, this might be addition by subtraction. Absolutely no offense to anyone, especially DeShawn Painter for both how he played and contributed this past season as well as his stated reason for transferring, but ask yourself this:
Which team would win a 3-on-3 game: Painter/Raymond/Harris or Purvis/Lewis/Warren? Don't know, and won't happen, but the exchange of the three would appear to be a talent upgrade. Would still like to see a rotation of 8-10 rather than 7. Oh well, whatever ends up happening I'm looking forward to basketball season, just hoping they can live up to all the hype.

You're right Marty. I'm not really upse that Harris is leaving, I just hope that depth doesn't become an issue. It's one thing to have a very talented starting five, but they will get tired without some minutes on the bench to rest.
Either way, bring on next season!

I think State will be just fine without Harris. From what I've read, his father is the one pushing for him to transfer; his father came out and said that Gott only wants to "play the players he recruited". Hmmmm. Calvin says "hello". Just as well if he leaves if his Dad was going to be stirring a pot that didn't need to be stirred. I wish him luck where ever he goes.

When parents get involved in that way, it doesn't usually work out well for their kids.

Little League parents have no place in college sports.
Totally idiotic statement (if he indeed said it); if Coach Gottfried only wanted to play "his" recruits, Alex Johnson and Thomas DeThaey would've gotten their rear ends handed to them last season.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, Gott only brought in two players last year. Last time I checked, you have to have 5 men on the court at all times. The father's statement shows the ignorance involved. I hope Tyler can overcome his father's meddling and make something of himself.
