I think the Pack has proven they deserved to be in the tournament. Two great wins against higher seeds. Kansas is going to be a challenge, but with the mentality the Pack has right now, they can beat 'em! I think Gott has definitely given the boys the confidence they have lacked for a long time.

No doubt about it. I'm very happy they have made it. Kansas is going to be a tough out, though. I think the Pack can beat them but they will have to play a great game.

Steady going, Pack. Focus, relax, play your game.
Be ready, it's going to be a road game.

Kansas is going to be tough, but they're not invincible. If the Pack can get on top, I think they have learned how to respond. Earlier in the season, they didn't respond well - Syracuse, Indiana, Duke - but that's the value of scheduling games like that.
The biggest difference, I think, is that if the Pack can keep this close, it will be the Jayhawks' collars getting tight. All the pressure to win will be on them.

Tim Brando said today on DGs show that he believes NC State could win the national championship. I think they are a tough match up for Kansas, but I also believe Kansas will get the win...I hope I'm wrong, though.

UNC, Syracuse, Michigan State, Kentucky, and anybody else - right now, they don't matter.
If State doesn't take care of business against Kansas, it turns out to be nothing more than a nice run and some much-needed momentum going into next season. Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic State's in the Sweet 16, awesome accomplishment seeing where this program was one year ago.
Just keep playing ball. Read where Howell had Brown turn off the TV in the hotel room Saturday after the San Diego State game when ESPN (or some other channel) conversation came around to NC State and what they "could" do against Georgetown. That's the kind of focus and leadership we need, and everybody sounds like they're on the same page right now mentally.
No predictions from me, State can beat Kansas, they're going to have to have a monumental effort from everyone, all hands on deck, smart decisions, make the plays that are there to be made, no stupid stuff, they can get it done.

Well Charles Barkley said NC State would beat Kansas, and we all know if Sir Charles says it will happen....it will happen. Haha! Seriously though, I think the boys have a great shot at beating Kansas. I don't think it's about talent anymore. It's about them believing in themselves and knowing they have what it takes to win. This team had the talent last year, just not the mentality of winners. I give huge credit to Gott and his staff.
Tizu, I sure hope Tim Brando is right! A national championship would be absolutely incredible. I'm not going to be disappointed if they don't, but I will definitely have a big hangover the day after if they do! LOL!

Let's walk on the court, look them in the eye, and beat them head-up.
Say again - from this point forward, hell from beating San Diego State forward, State's been playing with house money. They started off the year picked to finish 8th in the ACC. They're a win away from (literally) finishing no worse than 8th in the country (I'm not talking about "polls"). Prove to me how a team that would make it to the Elite Eight round wouldn't be, by default, finishing in the top 8 in the country.
I'm tired of State having to "sneak up" on a better team, or having to play the "game of their life" to beat a highly ranked team, or having to slip in the back door to "catch them by surprise". I'm ready to see State get back to huffing, and puffing, and blowing the @#$% FRONT door down, and being an evil, nasty, rude houseguest while they're there. Wolfpack is in the house, and they need to take ownership - by force, if need be.
I'm ready, they're ready, we're all ready. If they lose, so what? If they win, they keep gathering steam. Either way, s'all good. Kansas is good - maybe great. They're not unbeatable.
At 10:whatever tomorrow night, it's on. Period.

Marty, I am BY NO MEANS a State fan, but I must say that what you said is on point. That is exactly the mentality that State, and their fans for that matter, need to have from here on out. I guarantee you that Kansas is not taking them lightly. Bill Self will have his guys focused, but I don't think Gott will even have to fire up his team. These kids already seem like they believe they can play with anybody. I do think that Kansas is a tough match up though. Should be a hell of a game.

Well, it didn't turn out the way we wanted, but the guys still played their hearts out last night. Anybody see what Gott said after the game? He talked about how this team has brought a renewed enthusiasm for NC State basketball to Raleigh. Very positive attitude after such a tough loss. I'm very proud of the boys for the way they finished the season. There's nothing for them or the fans to hang their head about.

Good game for the Pack. It was a tough loss, but definitely nothing to hang your heads over. Pack fans have to feel good about this season and have hope for the future.

That is the leadership from the top (and the entire staff) that this team apparently needed this year, and boy did the players EVER respond to it. So proud of the entire program, already looking forward to November (when's the last time I thought THAT), hoping that all who are eligible return next year, we're not yet at the point where we can simply "reload" year after year. Congratulations and thanks to the NC State Mens' Basketball program. Go Pack
