Sorry to see this young man leave NC State. Shame we can't seem to gain much traction toward building sustainable depth at all positions, but I guess he felt like he'd be better utilized elsewhere. Good luck, Tyler. Thanks for everything you've done for NC State the last two seasons. You'll be missed.

Word is he didn't like splitting time with Cat Barber. I think it's ridiculous personally, but hey, more power to him.
Good luck wherever you decide to go, Tyler.

Here's the thing to me, and this has nothing to do with whether I think either one of them is a good player (they both can run rings around my old worn-out ass):
If Tyler Lewis DID stay at State for next season and Anthony Barber DIDN'T transfer as a result of Lewis coming back, thereby giving State two PURE point guards again, I wouldn't want either one of them averaging 30 min/gm as I read in another article that Lewis wanted (no idea if that's actually true or not), because they'd be WORN OUT by the end of the season.
Depth is NOT a problem on a basketball team, but players that are in it solely for themselves are (and not saying THAT is the issue with Lewis either), but if you're right in saying that he didn't like splitting time with Barber then, to me, that smacks of not being a team player). Which stinks, because I always thought of Lewis as being a "team" guy rather than a "me" guy.
Also not intended as a "slap", but I don't see him splitting time with another PG as being detrimental to his pro prospects, because I don't really see him as having any unless he has a sudden growth spurt. There are backup PG's in the NBA that are 6'4" and quicker than Tyler; I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. Wish him nothing but the best in whatever he does, he truly does seem like a great young man.

Yep. Spot on. It's his life and he's free to do what he wishes with it...but I think he's making a big mistake.
Oh well. Not my decision.
