We don't see it much around here so when it does show up, it's typically a big deal. I am in the Wayne / Johnston County area of NC, which is projected to receive the brunt of it. Hopefully everyone comes out of it unscathed, but I won't complain about complain about a couple of days off to play in it with the boys!
Be safe everyone!

Wish I'd gotten your warning last week Tiz! Hanging out at home now, waiting for MRI's to be scheduled, prelim opinion from orth surg is probable ligament damage in R knee and tear(s) in R hip. Slipped on our icy steps last week, feet up, but landed mostly on R foot, a little on L foot and L hand. Will let you know further as I get MRI's and know for sure where this is headed.

Thanks, Tiz. Just got my MRI's scheduled today for Monday afternoon. By my best calculation, IF any surgery needs to take place it will be at least 3 weeks+ after the injury. Is this normal? Oh well, me being a glass is half-full kind of guy: I'm now well caught up on the color Andy Griffith episodes (won't go so far as to say they "suck", but nowhere near as good as the B&W episodes) and The Brady Bunch. Roger Waters was right: I got fifteen channels of shit on the TV to choose from. Except, it's around 100 channels of shit. I'm not a good patient .....

3 weeks seems kind of like a long time...but I guess it's based upon availability and severity of the injury. I'm hoping for your sake that you don't need surgery!
Yes, the B&W episodes are much better than the color episodes. Not that I have anything against color...

Final diagnosis: Hematoma in R hip (starting to resolve itself on its own) and torn R meniscus, trying "management" and PT, but IF surgery is needed it should be able to be arthroscopic. I got lucky.

Geeze, Marty, I'm sorry to learn of your injury. I've had my share of orthopedic injuries and have found surgery better than PT, but I wish you luck in your recovery.

Thanks, Gunny! I got lucky, after all was said and done the worse thing (I think) did turn out to be the hip but that is mostly resolved, now it's just about getting my leg back to normal re: strength, flexibility, etc. Sure am glad to see you over here, Sugar. Come on! Stay with the Sane Gang!
Your Heels are looking pretty damn stout lately, that comeback at Florida State with McAdoo basically not showing up shouldn't be discounted. Hoping State can hit them back next Wednesday, but they let Syracuse beat them twice; that 2nd half against Clemson last night was biblically awful.

Well Marty here we are 12 after our posts and I hope you're fully recovered from your injury. Looks like your Pack are back in the conversation for making the Tourney. I hope they do make it, and I think they will.
