I knew Duke would have a tough time at Notre Dame, but I didn't expect them to build a 10 point lead late in the 2nd half to just stop playing defense and give it back, and then some. Parker had a terrible game and the Defense (which has been questionable all year) was exposed yet again. Something has to change there...and fast. We're in conference play now, it's time to start playing some D. While I wasn't shocked with the outcome, I'm appalled at the defensive effort. They are getting killed with backdoor cuts over and over and over again. I expect Duke to fall from the Top 10 for the first time since November of 2007...if they don't (which I think they should), I'll be surprised.
Unacceptable defense.
The UNC game was a shocker to me, though. I was very surprised the game was even close, let alone Wake beating them despite a huge rebounding advantage for UNC. It's obvious that if Paige doesn't score 18+ points, UNC doesn't have the offensive fire power to keep up. Inconsistency is the best word for them. World beaters against top ranked teams and mediocre at best against non-ranked teams. I still expect them to be near the top come March.

If Wake could play half as well on the road as they do at home, they'd be contenders for an NCAAT berth.
