Austin Dillon will be racing the #3 car starting next year. RCR has decided to allow the number to be used.
Still not sure exactly how I feel about it...wish they would retire numbers...that one and the #43 is certainly worthy of it!

Well, then 24 and 48 would have to go too. Cuz Gordo's the greatest of all time; except for Jypmee. Other than him, it's Gordo. Nope - Gordo IS the best, cuz he had the toughest start in racing history, and worked and scrapped for everything he got, and he's never had a car worth a damn and yet he's won eleventy billion races and oodles and oodles of champeenships and he's the best cuz he FOUND Jypmee. But wait - Jypmee's won more champeenships than Gordo and is closing in on him in races. Hmmmm - what to do, what to do???
I got it! Lock em both in Bruton Smith's office at NASCAR HQ, give em both baseball bats, and the one that walks out is the greatest of all time. F Petty, F Earnhardt. It's gottawantaneedgottahava Hendrick driver time.
Austin - keep your head, stay humble, stay true to yourself and your roots, don't apologize for being yourself. That's why we all liked Dale. The wins and the titles were all cool and everything. Yeah, he did "rattle" his share of cages, he could be ornery, he could be a pain in the ass. Don't try to be Dale. Be Austin. You'll be fine. Go get 'em, kid.

And it's on the pole! Great job by the whole team! Stay clean thru practice and the qualifying race, Dillon needs to learn his lessons and take his lumps, and get ready to give em hell next Sunday.
Way to go RCR, Austin Dillon, and #3 Dow Chemicals Chevrolet Team!!!
