I can only comment on the games I was able to peek in on or watch in their entirety.
Panthers vs. Seahawks - Defense I thought was good for the most part. They did give up some longer passing plays, but overall, they looked good. The offense actually looked pretty good as well. I though Cam did a great job overall. His accuracy looked better and he didn't make any big mistakes...he's hanging in the pocket and making the throw rather than tucking and running right away. Russel Wilson is just a fantastic QB. I love watching him play...he is really, really good and the main reason Seattle came away with the win. DeAngelo Williams' fumble cost them big time. Had a HUGE run inside the 10 yard line...and get the ball knocked out. Would they have scored a TD? Most likely they would have but we'll never know now. This game was a Defensive struggle throughout. I enjoyed the game overall. However, the "Rivera lead" never holds. I don't know what it is, but they seem to not be able to hang on to a lead when the game is close. I think the stat is now that the Panthers are 2-13 when the game is decided by a TD or less.
49ers vs. Packers - Wow, what a game this was! Colin Kaepernick was sensational in this game...and I'm glad for it! Not only do I pull for the Niners, but I took a bold 1st pick with Kaepernick on my fantasy team...and boy did I make out like a champ yesterday! Back to the game itself. The bad was Clay Matthews' hit on Kaepernick out of bounds...then the elbows he threw when Staley was "locking him up". The refs should have ejected him, but instead they give OFF-SETTING penalties to both Staley and Matthews. WHAT!? Yeah, they screwed the pooch on that call! It was a huge mistake for Green Bay as it lead to a Niner's TD. That play was dirty I don't care what anyone says. What makes it worse, is last week on Mike & Mike he came out openly and stated "we're going to try and hit him as much as we can". That's fine...IN THE FIELD OF PLAY, NOT OUT OF BOUNDS! I really hope the League looks at that and fines him or suspends him for that cheap shot and the subsequent elbows to the head of Staley. No room for that in the game of Football. Either way, the game was played and it was a great one to watch!
Cowbys vs. Giants - Sloppy. That's about all I can say. 6 Turnovers by the Giants, and they still only lost by less than a TD (5 points). Romo looked pretty good, though! I was impressed with him last night (he's just so inconsistent). That hit he took was more than him just "getting the wind knocked out of him". It was obvious he was in pain and I suspect a broken rib, maybe more. That hit looked like it hurt, however, nothing dirty, just sandwiched between the two defenders. Ouch. I kept dozing off in the second half of this one, so I didn't see most of the 4th quarter...I guess that tells you how the game was going! I didn't see anything too exciting. The Giants have to protect the football. Eli tends to throw a lot of INTs, but he throws a lot of TDs also...that RB needs to hold onto the ball! Can't turn the ball over that many times and expect to win...even though they still had a chance.
