The draft is coming up Thursday, do you have any odds on favorites for who's going to be go in the top 5?
I haven't really been following it very closely but I'm interested to see where guys are going to go. Especially the ACC players.
Chad Ford's top 5:
Nerlens Noel - Kentucky Victor Oladipo - Indiana Otto Porter - Georgetown Anthony Bennett - UCLA Alex Len - Maryland
Personally, I don't think Nerlens is going to be the #1 overall, but I could be wrong. With him still recovering from the ACL injury I just don't see it happening. I'm going to switch the first 2 and say Oladipo will go first and Noel 2nd. We'll find out in a couple of days.

It certainly didn't go as I expected with Anthony Bennett going first! What a wild night at the draft. How bout those Nets! Making a huge deal to get Garnett, Pierce, and Terry.
Congratulations to Mason Plumlee of Duke going 22nd to Brooklyn Nets, Reggie Bullock of UNC going in 25th to LA Clippers, Ryan Kelly of Duke going 48th to LA Lakers and Lorenzo Brown of NC State going 52nd to Minnesota Timberwolves.
Still to be Drafted: Seth Curry of Duke, CJ Leslie of NC State and Richard Howell of NC State. Surprising none of those guys went last night.

Hey Tizu!
I was stunned that Bennett went first overall - I hadn't seen that on any mock draft. I thought he might end up with the Bobcats at 4th. Zeller was a good but not great choice, considering others were still available when they picked him. Happy for the local guys, but I hope that Curry, CJ, and especially Howell get picked up. CJ has himself to thank IMHO. He has skills, but his attitude may have been a turn off to teams.

His game seems to me based on pure athleticism, which made him a star in high school, and very good in college - better than a lot of players who were drafted. But where does he play in the NBA? He's not big enough to play the 4 position, and he doesn't have much of a perimeter game. When you pair that with a suspect attitude, he's a high risk choice. I think Lo Brown is an NBA "tweener" as well. I see him as a back up point guard in the league. I was surprised at the choice of Zeller. But if you listened to all the so-called experts, there wasn't a single big man who didn't have some baggage. He has as good a chance as any of them to succeed.

Agreed on all counts with both of you. I see Leslie probably dropping to the D-League to polish up some skills. I am disappointed that Charlotte picked Zeller, but hopefully he'll work out for them...
