Duke was decimated on the glass last week 42-22. In consideration that Duke may meet UNC again this weekend, what kind of changes do you see "K" making to remedy this problem. The UNC front line is long and athletic, coupled with guards that crash the boards, Duke will either have to go with a larger line up or concede the rebounds to persue winning from a different area of the floor. Thoughts?

That was pretty much the case in the first match up also. They just need to play better defense and make UNC shoot difficult shots. Of course, Duke needs to be able to put the ball in the hoop also. I don't think Duke will ever out-rebound them, they'll just have to be more physical on defense, stay in their faces and not give them room to operate. However, this Duke team has shown they can't do that consistently, only for short stretches. I don't think Duke will make the finals anyway if I'm being realistic.

I don't see Duke doing anything different. K has used this system a long time and he's not changing. I think he may start the two Plumlees, if he faces UNC again. There's no guarantee he going to face Carolina again this season. To be honest, I don't really care if Carolina doesn't win the ACC Championship and don't care where they are seated. Of course, I'm pulling for them to win, but an injury in the tournment would put them out of a chance for the real championship.

Bleh with Kelly out the Plumlee brothers are destined to start and have to play big minutes if we meet up with UNC again.

The Plum-uglies will start and so will Dawkins. Duke will be forced to shoot 100 three point shots and hope 50 go in. LOL.
I do not see where Duke will have a lot of other choices. If they do play NC we will kill them again and maybe worse this time.

Nobody in the league can out rebound UNC when they are on their game. The best hope for anybody is for them to have an off shooting night, and get the bigs in foul trouble.

I don't mean this in a snarky way, but one thing Duke could have done to reduce Carolina's rebounding margin was to make more of their shots in the first place. The defense always has an advantage in rebounding, and Duke missed 46 shots, including 9 free throws. You can't give a great rebounding team like the Heels that big a head start.
IMO Duke also needs to have more shot attempts in transition rather than in their half court offense, where Carolina's bigs can establish position. Getting into a running game with the Heels can be a risky proposition, but I think Duke has the speed and depth to make it a gamble worth taking.
