I was able to watch some of the Jam Fest / 3 pt shooting competition and the All American game. Jabari Parker looks very impressive. While he didn't show much in the game, he still came away with 10 points. Aaron Gordon (Arizona commit) looked real flashy and like he's going to be a solid player. He led all scorers (for the West) with 14. Didn't get to see much of Andrew Wiggins or Matt Jones, but I saw them during the Jam fest. Jones did come in 2nd in the 3pt shooting contest, draining 17 3s. Wiggins looked pretty good, scoring 19 points...but he has no defensive ability at all. Will that hold him back? No, he's going to Carolina.
Overall, I think there are some good players coming in and am excited to see what happens.

I've sort of had the impression Kentucky was his most likely home for the next year, based partly on his own comments. That being said, if he does become a Wildcat they may have too much talent and not enough minutes to satisfy so many egos. They would have seven five star recruits, including the #1 ranked recruit at every position, to join two returning starters who were five star recruits in their own classes. That could spell chemistry problems.

I was just assuming that he would land at UNC. I hope he doesn't for my own bias / personal reasons. I agree that if he does choose UK that could be a potentially bad situation...but the reason kids go to Calipari is to go directly to the NBA. He doesn't want them hanging around...the longer they stay, the less money he gets.

Kentucky's class is incredible, but I agree 100% with Ken. They may not be able to play together because every one of them is trying to be the "star".

Better to have players that will perform as a team in a team sport, in my opinion.

I agree 100%, but look at Kentucky last year. They had nothing but NBA players and they all wanted to be the "Star", but they somehow worked it out for the good of the team...I hope they DON'T work it out because I don't like them, but I hope the players get whatever they're looking for by going to play for Calipari.

There's nothing in the rule book that says team players aren't allowed to have NBA talent. But the odds that a star player, who has been coddled and put on a pedestal for years, will develop an ego problem are greater than the guy who earns his way by hard work. I think you have to give all the coaches who are consistently able to recruit the top talent props for being able to mold those players into a team. The best ones always do.

I agree, Ken. These players coming in now...at least the highly touted ones have enormous egos. See Austin Rivers as a prime example of that.
