college-basketball.si.com/2013/04/01/ed-rush-pac-12-dismissal/?sct=hp_wr_a3&eref=sihpI realize this isn't 'ACC-related', but this guy needs to be gone YESTERDAY. "I was joking." Really? A grown damn man, with YEARS of experience officiating NBA games, now the supervisor of officials, and the best "excuse" you can come with is "I was joking."? Total P.O.S., this Ed Rush. And people dare to say anything to others when they complain about the refs.

By the way, if you read the article linked above, take the time to read some of the comments from posters afterwards: sounds a lot like some of the complaints I and other posters around here have said at one time or another. Just sayin' ...

I wonder how long it will take a story like this to come out in the ACC? And no, I'm not saying that as a whiney Pack fan! I saw horrible, almost ridiculous calls throughout the season, and the tournament.
That guy needs to be canned like green beans! No excuse for "joking" about targeting a certain coach and/or team. Pathetic.

It's all just more examples of just how nutless the NCAA has become - more evidence of what happens when you sell out.
No one - NO ONE - is bigger than the game, who's integrity MUST be guarded with a death grip at all times.

That guy from Rutgers needs his ass kicked. I'm all for "passionate" coaching, but that was just plain ridiculous. What a douche bag.

Agreed! I'm sorry, if I were a player I would never stand back and let the coach repeatedly call me names, throw the ball at me, etc. Someone would be gettin' an ass whoopin' then be reported. That's what I don't understand...why the hell didn't any of these guys report the coach? Were they scared it'd just get worse? They could do it anonymously if that's the case. I don't know, I wouldn't sit back and let that crap happen.

With regard to the referee who did call the Technical...he should be fired, the head of officials who said it should be fired...and any jackass who defended his actions (Commissioner of the conference) should be fired. This canNOT be tolerated. PERIOD! Someone needs to send a firm example and the NCAA should have stepped in immediately and did something about it. I agree that officials should come from the NCAA, not from individual conferences. It leaves way too much room for shit like this to happen.

As long a style is favored over substance, this is what we'll get.
With no pun intended, I believe the ball is in the NCAA's court on these issues.

Let's face it, the NCAA is about a screwed up as our wonderful government.
They will make a huge stink if a player receives even the smallest gift or gesture from an alumnus or fan, but they most often turn the other cheek on stuff like the Rutgers coach or the head of officials.....until the media spills the beans.
In fact, the more I think about it....they are just like the government. Screw right vs. wrong....just focus on the money.
