Damn.
Great game throughout and in my opinion, only because of the outcome, State's 2nd best beginning-to-end game this season, against a top-notch team at that.
All the best to Lorenzo Brown on a full recovery but I am so proud of the heart and fight everybody that played for State showed today. Miami just made one more play.
Get over it fast, boys - Duke's best shot is coming atcha next, be ready.
I thought Tyler Lewis was phenomenal under some difficult circumstances today.

Tyler did an excellent job! I hate Brown is hurt, but at least Lewis is getting some experience before Brown leaves, because we all know he'll be the point guard when Brown is gone.
Is it just me, or did big Reggie Johnson push off on that last play? No matter, it was one of those "ah shit" moments.
Proud of the Pack for playing hard without their #1 guard, but still disappointed with another loss.

The singular complaint I've had about ACC basketball officiating for years, and it's as bad as ever this year, is that officials will call the little stuff but things that would get you arrested on the street are no-calls; doesn't matter if State's playing or not.
I'll give an example from today's game, both in the second half: Rodney Purvis (wicked follow dunk to put State up 34-30 in the first half, by the way) was trailing (I believe) Shane Larkin as Miami was actually bringing the ball back out toward midcourt and was called for a push/handcheck. The replay on the scoreboard showed that he never touched the Miami player. At the other end, Jordan Vandenburg went up for a left-handed jump hook and received a mid-air chest bump from Reggie Johnson. Shockingly, the shot was short but, alas, no foul called.
P.S. Bernard Clinton sucks. He does. Sucks. Big ones. Sucks. Really bad. Sucks. Out loud. Really. Seriously. Sucks. He does. Sucks. Grievously. Sucks. Graphically. Sucks. Yep, he sucks.

I agree with you Matt, that Reggie pushed off. I also agree with Marty about the officiating. It's been terrible for the past 3-4 years. I don't know what the hell Swofford is seeing in these refs, but he needs to open his damn eyes. They are unquestionably the WORST officials in the NCAA.
What a heart breaker, though...man that sucks. I'd rather get blown out than lose on a last second shot like that...I don't know why those hurt so much worse, but they suck. Big time.

Amen on the officiating. It's almost become a game of fouls rather than a game of baskets. Either let them play, or call it tight, but for the love of God be consistant from the start to end of a game!
