I honestly expected Duke to lose this game. I also expected Duke to show up in Miami. Miami couldn't miss and when theydid Duke had nothing. When Sulaimon came out and hit that 3 to open the game, I thought for a second Duke would win.
Miami completely dominated rhem in every aspect of the game. That was an utter embarrassment. Congratulations to Miami. Nothing but respect.

Classic line - Duke picked a bad night to have a bad night.
Kelly being out hurt them against State. Last night they could've had Ryan Kelly, Kelly Garrett, Kelly Kapowski, and Machine Gun Kelly and it wouldn't have mattered. The difference is, I bet Duke don't play like THAT again. They might lose again, but they won't stink it up like they did last night. One loss, nothing more.

Yeah it was bad....I have no words to describe that performance. I did see one shining spot in the muck, though. Alex Murphy played a good game. He was about the only offense Duke had. Played well defensively, too. Stripping balls, hurrying back down the court, etc.
That was good to see. MP3 has still shown me absolutely nothing of any value, which is a shame for being so damn big. Maybe he'll develop by the time he's a senior.
I think Miami did try to pull a fast one, though with regard to Reggie Johnson. I'm sure that screwed up K's game plan big time...even though Johnson was really a non-factor for much of the night, I think it screwed with Duke's head a little bit...which is exactly what they were looking for, I'm sure. Maybe I'm being a conspiracy theorist, but there's no way in hell you can tell me they didn't at minimum think he 'could play' before yesterday...they knew and kept it quiet, but hey, it's not against the rules, use everything you can, right?
I'm still sort of shocked by how terrible almost everyone played. I don't know how they scored 63 points. Everything was clank, clank, clank all night. Easy layups, dunks, short jumpers, 3's. It was really, really sad. Worst performance I've ever seen from a Duke team as long as I've been watching. That includes the thumping they took from Clemson a few years ago where they only scored 40....at least they had some fight in that game.
Pathetic. That's is all I can say.

Man, that game was ulgy! I hated to see them struggle that bad, but hey, it happens. I'm sure Coach K will get them straightened out. There will probably be some very "spirited" practices after last night.
