Hope the Pack can come away with a W against Vanderbilt. It would be nice to see them in a bowl with some prestige next year.

Agreed - do think it's sad that some folks seem to have a very narrow definition of what a "successful" season is; making progress is where it's at for State right now.

Hope the Pack can come away with a W against Vanderbilt. It would be nice to see them in a bowl with some prestige next year. I'm disappointed that the ACC allows a 6-6 team like VA Tech to go to Orlando ahead of a school with a winning record. But if I were a State fan, I would be equally disappointed that the Russell Athletics folks considered a 6-6 team more worthy than us. I don't think folks outside Raleigh have as high an opinion of how well Wolfpack fans support their team as Wolfpack fans do.

If you win them (games), they (bowl scouts) will come.

I agree Ken. But, unfortunately, us State fans don't get to pick the bowl. After the ups and downs this year, I guess we should be happy to get the play in a bowl at all!

I didn't get to watch the game yesterday because I was working. I recorded it. I kept up with it with the ESPN app on my phone. I deleted it when I got home....not worth watching. I saw the "highlights" last night on the news.........sad. Looks like the only good thing the Pack did was Palmer's 94 yard runback for a TD. Here's to a fresh start for next season.

It really reminded me of the 2004 season (the first year after Rivers/Cotchery/etc.); the defense played "okay", they didn't give up a ton of yards, but the main reason for that was that the offense kept turning the ball over and giving Vandy great field position. Still, lots of poor tackling by the defense (and, no, they never did STOP the run from the direct snap wildcat formations). Oh yeah - and too many stupid penalties, too.
Overall poor performance - in retrospect, I guess the D wasn't really all that bad. 5 State TO's to none for Vandy, 17 pts off TO's, and lost by 14. Disagree with Coach Bible saying 2 of the INT's were on himself, Glennon was the one throwing the ball. Poor decision-making on his part most of the game, in my opinion.

The turnovers killed them. I was rooting hard for them, but you cannot turn the ball over like that. At least the ACC as a whole didn't get a black eye entirely...but still....

I hate to see Glennon end his career with such a bad game, but that's the way it goes sometimes. It was good to see GT and Clemson get some big wins though.

I "like" GT, and I've always kinda liked Clemson too but BOY, was it nice seeing USC roll over. From "preseason" #1 with the "preseason" Heisman winner (don't want to see anyone hurt) to unranked 6-loss team with the freshman backup playing at the end of the season. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy - Lane Kiffin sucks. Was also EXTREMELY glad to see Clemson pull out the Peach Bowl (oops, showing my age) against LSU. Boyd and Hopkins were un-freekin-stoppable down the stretch. I know they only won by one, but I read they ran a HUNDRED plays at LSU??? A HUNNERT? Day-um, that was dropping some hammers. LSU's defenders were cramping up in the 4th quarter worse than a Wal-Mart full of housewives just run out of chocolate the day after they took Oprah off the air.
