So, after the loss at UNC and the beatdown by UVA at home, what should happen to Tom Obrien?

UNC: We were bound to lose to them again sooner or later, the ending stunk for State, possible "game management" issues, but there were several instances of poor performance on the field too. I'm not going to complain too much because, in the interest of sportsmanship, I think it detracts from a good performance by UNC and I'd like to lose with grace as much as win with humility.
UVA: I got nothing. No way to explain that one away if you ask me. He said after the game he had no indication in practice leading up to Saturday that they still had a "UNC hangover", then they hit the field on Saturday and - - - nothing.
Don't like polls but, for now, mark me as "Undecided".

Hey, no denying UNC played one hell of a game, but I just hate the way the end of the game was handled by the Pack. It's like we gave up before the clock ran out.
You're right, everybody is scratching their head about the UVA game. All I can say is that I truly believe the Pack has the talent to win many more games than the record reflects. It's like the President, when things go wrong, he gets the blame. It comes with the job.

Understood - I want to be able to consider the totality of the final five games of this year (I really don't have too big of a problem with the Maryland game) before I cast my vote.

Well, we SHOULD win the Wake and BC games....key word is should. I don't have high hopes for the Clemson game, especially since it's on Clemson's home turf.

Hey Harnett, I see you voted to keep him. Geez, I wonder why? Haha!

My biz partner Doug went to the game, he said it was way better than the UVA game....obviously.

State-Clemson grade: D-
The only reason it's not an F is that we were playing a ranked team on the road. Period.

I still say TOB doesn't have what it takes to coach a program like NC State. They should be better than they have played.

I forget which one, but one of the talking-head analysts made a comment after the game about disgruntled State fans and how Tom O'brien is still building the program and needs more time. Hey, 6 years is a fairly good amount of time to turn things around. Let's see what AD Yow, who just had her contract extended, deals with this season's lackluster record.

State - BC grade: C+
Hard to argue with a win, seems they struggled a bit more than necessary against a team that should not be struggled against.
Bowl game pending .....

Guess it's all a moot point now.

Well, I guess my pole is sort of useless now huh! I figured he would be gone, but not before the bowl.
I was at the game yesterday and the mood of the crowd was less than enthusiastic. It was probably the most quiet I've ever seen Carter Finley. I was happy about the win, but it should have been a lot bigger difference in the score.
I totally respect the way Obrien ran the program as far as integrity and "cleanliness". However, I agree with Yow in that we need a coach that can take the program to the next level.
