Sounds like State performed better against Citadel; would be curious to know how Citadel and South Alabama would stack up against each other.
Anybody have any clue why NONE of Creecy/Washington/Greene (O.K., forget Greene) played? Great debut by this kid Thornton. Bonus points if he kept his mouth shut and acted like he was part of the team rather than the WHOLE team when he scored.
Regardless, no shoo-in by any means next week, then the hellstretch starts. Saddle up, Pack.

I didn't see the game, so just by looking at the score, they played well. I hope they have gained some confidence over the last two weeks. Miami will be a good test to see if they can keep the momentum going. To say I'm nervous about the Seminoles coming to town would be an understatement.
I'm not sure why none of the three running backs played. I'm curious myself.

And.
The.
Beat.
Goes.
On.
Shouldn't we want and, rightfully, expect better efforts and results? Losing games doesn't bother me, it's the mind-blowingly consistent same-old same-old reasons WHY the games are lost. Absolutely ZERO improvement in the area of learning from past mistakes; coaches as well as players. Tired of hoping for bowl eligibility.

The game yesterday was a complete fiasco! Yes, they scored 37 points, but look at all the MISTAKES! Lack of discipline is the only explanation. Take away the turnovers and the mental mistakes, and that game would have been a blowout in State's favor. I'm not looking forward to next weekend. I have a wedding to go to, so at least I won't have to watch the killing FSU will put on the Pack. I hate to sound like that, but unless they have a complete turn around this week, it doesn't look good for our Wolfpack Marty.

Yeah, well I had to re-schedule the root canal I had set up for 7:30 Saturday night, so I guess I'll go watch the FSU practice session. I don't think the linebackers are the weakness of this team. Tennessee and Miami both had tremendous success throwing beyond - WAY BEYOND - where one typically finds linebackers and directly into what was supposed to be a strength of this team.
Whatever. When's tip-off?

Finally - noticeable improvement from one week to the next. Defense and special teams great all night, and offense was steady if not spectacular. For once, NC State was the team that adjusted at the half and Florida State never countered.
Great job, Pack!
