NASCAR should have renamed the race the "Oil Down 355". The finish was one of the best ever.....and I hate road coarses. However, a caution should have been thrown for all the oil on the track. Anybody notice how Jr. was being very careful with his words after the race? I guess he didn't want to take any chances with getting a fine and points deduction this close to the chase. At least Kyle Busch didn't win.

It was pretty exciting, I'm just glade Kyla Busch didn't win, any of the other two would have been fine. I was so ticked when Jr. spun and cost him the chase points lead. Oh well, hopefully another win in Michigan next week will cure that

Yeah, Michigan is definitely a good track for him. Hopefully he'll be back on top after this Sunday.

The oil messed up Gordon too and it knocked him out of the last wild card slot for now. Would love to see him jump up and knock Kyle Busch completely out of the whole thing.

Kenny,
You may be right, but mark my words - team orders. I've seen it too many times with those guys.

Any team orders will be designed to get all 4 Hendrick drivers into the Chase.

True dat, Kenny. Anyone who thinks Hendrick only owns four cars is soooorrrrrly mistaken (channelling my inner Ed Rooney here - movie title - quick - anyone? anyone?)

I have a close relative that is "in the know" when it comes to NASCAR. He told me that Phoenix Racing (Kurt Busch) is basically Hendrick's R&D team. The chassis, engine, etc. is all Hendrick. Since NASCAR limited owners to 4 teams, the big boys like Hendrick have found ways to have more than 4 teams without "owning" them on paper. Anyone notice that Kurt's fire suit has Hendrickcars.com on it? Hmmmmmm.......I wonder why that is on there. You know there's no way a team without a big sponsor can run as well as Kurt does (at least until he wrecks) without some backing from a big team.

Throw in "Stewart-Haas Racing" as well - the championship, right now, is Jimmie Johnson's to "lose". The writing was on the wall when the bulk of the penalties from the 48 team's taking an illegal car to Daytona in February were overturned after appealing to the "Special Arbitrator" that is a retired GM engineer with over 40 years' experience. The icing on the cake there was NASCAR telling them if they brought a similar/identical car to Talladega for the spring race they'd dance all over again.
Anybody else known to have been able to appeal a NASCAR penalty to a "Special Arbitrator"? I don't think so, but if I'm wrong I'm wrong. By the way, this guy "only" takes a salary of $1.00 per year from NASCAR; wonder if he has any other "sources of income" with/from/connected to NASCAR?
Again, with this group, you're talking about a man with a documented, unapologetic history of breaking not only rules but laws as well. It's not that he's found a way to build a better mousetrap, he uses hardware outside the scope of the mousetrap-building rules, has the mousetrap judges cowed if not outright on the take and, if he's REALLY desperate, has his group be the only ones that can whine to a Double-Secret Judge with over 40 years' experience in the industry of building better mousetraps.
For crying out loud, even Jimmie Johnson himself is on record as saying Knaus told him just before the start of the Talladega race last fall to stuff it in the wall on his burnout if he won, and Johnson said this was from Knaus speaking to him directly through the driver's window on pit road, not over the radio. Their asses were saved there because Johnson didn't win.
Plenty of stuff to read out there about "The Felon" if one is interested .....

Geez Marty, tell us how you really feel about Hendrick, haha! Nah, I see where you're coming from. However, I'm die hard Chevy to the bone and as long as a Ford or Toyota is behind a Bowtie at the finish line, I'm happy.
Go Jr.!

I understand about Chevy Matt, I really do. To me though, it's kind of like the whole "I always pull for ACC teams when they're not playing {insert your favorite ACC team here}.". Bull-bleep, and don't gimme no "Red Rage" or "ABC" or "hater" crap, either. What self-respecting Carolina fan wasn't beside themselves with glee when Lehigh upset Duke? What true-blue Devil was depressed when UNC came up short against Kansas? I'm a Chevrolet man. Period. Doesn't mean I'm ecstatic as long as a Chevy driver - ANY Chevy driver - wins. Don't forget, Childress and Earnhardt-Ganassi are my teams, but Robby Gordon used to drive 31 for RCR and there was no way in HELL I would ever pull for that buffoon. I have my pride.

I hear ya buddy! I'm a proud ABCer and I don't feel bad about it. I do hate what's happening to the university with all the scandal, but as far as pulling for any of their sports teams at any given time.....ain't happening.
And yes, Robbie Gordon is a moron.
By the way, DEI was my team back when Jr. drove for them.

Kenny, All you have to do is go to Southern National in Lucama. He's down there whipping everybody's ass that runs Limited Late Models (or whatever they call it there, seems like that's the name of the class at Wake County). Reminded me of something I heard once about a fish in a pond, but I can't put my finger on it right now .....
