Well after today's dismantling of Australia (119-86), it looks like Team USA is well on their way to another basketball gold medal. I guess stranger things have happened, but there is no way this team should lose. I am, however, still trying to figure out how they almost let Lithuania slip up on them a few games ago. A close call to much lesser competition. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the rematch with Argentina. In case you missed it, there is a little bit of "bad blood" between the US and Argentina after some dude from Argentina punched Carmelo Anthony IN THE NUTS during the last game. I think they will try to score 200 on them ;D.....Anyways, GO USA.
And for the record, this team would get blown out by the REAL DREAM TEAM......(Sorry Kobe but there's no way!)

Lost in translation is the fact that Chris Paul punched one of the Argentine players earlier in the game. I'm generally bored by Olympic basketball now. I think we proved our point in 92 and I'd like to see the US do something different from selecting an NBA all-star team to play in the Olympics.

Well, the boys brought home Gold against Spain. Close game though! It was nice to see a State guy along side Coach K on the bench!
