I've traditionally not been a big NBA fan, however, this year the finals have been intriguing to me but I'm not sure why. I'm not a Labron fan, I'm not a heat or OKC fan...I think it's because I want to see Labron lose again. I am pulling for Shane Battier to do well, but he's the only one on the Heat team that I really care for, which is probably why I want them to lose.
Last night's game, the way the heat came out hitting EVERYTHING, I thought it was going to be a blow out. Then Kevin Durant took over. I'm not saying KD is better than 'Bron, but I gotta tell ya, I don't know if 'Bron is better than KD, either! He absolutely dominated in the 2nd half, especially in the 4th quarter which is where 'Bron has a hard time historically.
I'm picking OKC in 6 this series. I think they just have too much fire power for the Heat to be able to contain them.
Good luck to Shane Battier - but I'm sad to say you won't be getting your ring this year. maybe I'm wrong (for his sake, I hope I am), but I don't want Labron to get a ring! ;D
Has anyone else paid attention to the finals (conference and Game 1)? If so, what are your thoughts?

I've actually been following the NBA playoffs this year. I usually could care less about the NBA, but for some reason I've been drawn in this time. Tizu, don't shoot me, but I want Miami to win. If they win, then we won't have to hear all the crap about Labron living up to expectations, blah, blah, blah. I was pulling for the Celtics for the simple fact that all the talking heads kept going on and on about how "old" the Celtics are. I wanted them to prove the critics wrong. Anyway, after watching last night's game, I think OKC will take it. That team is playing like a well oiled machine.

I agree, Matt. For OKC's top 3 being no older than 23, they sure are playing like they've been in the league for 10+ years. Their poise is amazing for them being in the playoffs for the first time. I think OKC takes it in 6.

Well, looks like OKC will have to win 3 in a row to take it in 6.

True, very true. I was glad to see Dirk get a championship last year.

Well, I had it all wrong. Miami beat OKC like a drum.

Indeed they did. Congrats to Miami and most importantly to Shane Battier!
