I voted for Hamilton, but if Roy or K win the NT this year, I reserve the right to change my vote!

I voted for Gottfried, but I'll admit to being slightly bias. Haha!
Seriously though, he's done wonders with the Pack this year. Having a conference record of .500 or hopefully above after Sunday's game is a great job with the current roster. Those boys didn't know how to play together before Gott came to town. I'm more excited about Pack basketball than I've been in years. He has found a way to make these boys realize their talent and stop settling for losses. Even most of the losses were close instead of blowouts.
The future is bright in Raleigh, and Gottfried is coach of the year.

I voted for Coach K. Looking at it as un-biased as possible. K did not have a very good team this year, no outstanding players other than 1 single freshman. His ability to get the best out of his teams is amazing. After losing 90% of his scoring squad from last year, it's simply amazing what he's done with this team. They're certainly not great defensively, but they have gotten better.
I wouldn't be upset if Leonard Hamilton won it, but he's got a team stacked with seniors,, I think that alone gives K the edge as he only has one.

Good point. K did a great job with what he had this year. They didn't really get the job done tonight, but overall, great season.
I still want to see Gottfried get it, hehe.

So far, on most of the boards I've seen, it has generally come down to K and Hamilton, with scattered support for Gottfried and Bennett. Hardly mentioned is Roy Williams, despite a 14-2 conference record. He's lost 2 key players for the season to injury and didn't miss a beat. Doesn't he deserve some love?

I know he won't get many votes, if any, but for Steve Donohue to win four games with 9 freshmen is pretty impressive in my book. BC may never be a NT contender, but he'll keep them competitive. I was surprised to learn that in his 26 years of coaching last year was the first time he had any scholarships to give.

There's been a lot of great coaching jobs in the conference this year. COY is going to be a tough call. I just hope there's some stability in the coaching for several years. I think one of the reasons the ACC has fallen behind some other conferences is due to all the turnover with coaches. The only coaches with more than 3 years in the conference is Roy, K, and Hamilton. Most of them are first or second year!

And the winner is Leonard Hamilton. He received 21 votes. Coach K was second with 20 votes.
Congratulations Mr. Hamilton!

No big surprise there. He did a phenomenal job this year. I doubt if anybody picked FSU to finish 3rd in the conference this year. It'll be interesting to see how they do next year with all the seniors leaving.
