Does anyone have any news/updates on Noel (6'10", 215lb., Center, No. 1 in ESPN top 100)? He still has Carolina listed as one of the schools he is considering, along with UConn, Georgetown, Florida, Kentucky, and a few others. He would be a nice addition to Roy's already top 10 class for next season. It wouldn't surprise me a bit though to see Calipari snatch him up to play at UK.

He would definitely fit in perfectly. He suppose to make his choice soon. Carolina is in the running. Let's hope he choses UNC. Go Heels!

Haven't heard much, and none of it is reliable anyway. Last I heard, the bad news was that he and Muhammad were going to team up at Kentucky. The good news is that, without that hightop fade, he is really only 6'4".

According to ESPN, he has eliminated UNC from his list of possible schools. The final 3 are Georgetown, Kentucky and Syracuse.

Boo. If he chooses Kentucky, may he never see a national title in his one year on campus.

Noel, Shabazz Mohammed, Tony Parker, and Amile Jefferson will be featured tonight on ESPNU's signing day special at 7:30. If I'm not mistaken, Noel and Mohammed will announce where they will be playing. I'm not sure about the other guys.
Here's hoping that NONE of them will pick Dook. Maybe Roy has been doing some late recruiting and Tar Heel Nation will get a NICE surprise.

Noel commits to Kentucky and Mohammed commits to UCLA. It's a shame neither of them will be playing in the ACC. Both will probably turn pro after one year.

Noel to Kentucky. Not really a shock there. Hope you never get to experience a championship during your one and only year of college ball young man.

The heck with the one and dones. The whole reason I like college ball rather than NBA is due to players sticking with teams and playing with heart and pride.....not just with thoughts of a billion $ on their mind. Dook paid a price for the last 2 seasons since Kiwi dropped to the level of signing one and dones....Kyrie and Rivers were both a disaster to dook and its players. Folks in Kentucky can feel as proud as they can with the new squad of players they have on a yearly basis......I am not interested in that and thank goodness neither is Roy!

Heelz, I have to agree with you on this one. The one and done era is ruining college basketball and something seriously needs to be done about it. I agree that it has hurt Duke as of late along with other schools. The great Agent Calipari had success with getting the team to play together this year...that won't happen every year. Who knows, in a couple years when he's coaching the Knicks, they may very well vacate this year's title...just as they did his previous final fours...

Yep, Heelz is right. The worst thing to happen to college basketball has been the rule that players have to play one year in college before going to the NBA. The "one and dones" are hurting the game more than helping. If a player wants to go to the NBA right out of high school, let him go!

Exactly. If they have the talent and can go, let them! It worked out well for Kobe, Labron and others! Those guys are superstars!
